Round One

While it's still fresh in my mind I wanted to recap my first date I had tonight based on my new adventure into internet dating. Tonight I went out with Adam. From the beginning I knew Adam would would be funny and easy to get along with. The first email I got from him was...

Answer the following questions:

Saturday or Sunday?
Sand or Snow?
Film or Theatre?
Tea or Coffee?
City or Surburbs?
Flowers or Chocolate?
Tiffany's or Links?

Not, hey sexy, you're hot and I love girls from California, can I see more pictures. Unfortunately I get a lot more of those then I would like. The email Adam sent me broke the ice immediately
and from there we exchanged multiple emails, all of which I found very funny and engaging. After numerous exchanges he asked me to grab a drink. While I was really excited to meet him I was SO nervous. You hear so many horror stories about Internet dating, people posting fake pics, give you a fake age, etc.. So many things could have gone wrong.

I just got back from the date and it's almost midnight. The date started at 8. We had drinks at a bar by my house and honestly the time just flew, good sign in my book! Honestly, Adam was exactly what I expected; funny, easy to hold a conversation with, better looking then his photos and an absolute gentleman. About half way through the date I remembered he was much younger than me, he's 26 and when he first contacted me I was bit weary about his age. However, if I hadn't known his age going into the date I would have guessed he was at least 30. He was so mature, smart, worldly, etc.. We were able to relate to one another very easily. The date was really relaxed and comfortable. No awkward silences, we had a ton to talk about. Overall, great first date. Chemistry wise I wasn't feeling it physically but mentally we completely clicked. He was a really cute guy, but I couldn't get past his teeth. He had British teeth. Before I left everyone said to me, be careful of those British men, they are knows for their bad teeth. I think I hit the jackpot on that front. It was bad, just bad. I tried so hard to get past it but I couldn't. But with that said, I would definitely go out with him again.

I'm so glad I decided to try this Internet thing.. it's been a very humbling and so far a really rewarding experience.

I'm confused....you say you can't get past the teeth, but you'll for sure go out with him again? Are you hoping for an orthodontic miracle on the mountain top before the 2nd go-around? I need more info on the pearly (or not so pearly) whites this guy was sporting! But good job on getting out there! Kudos, kiddo!
